Are you an experienced Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to the development of professionals working with children and young people?

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Remote Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) and Assessor to join our Learning and Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to support learners across residential childcare and education, helping them achieve nationally recognised qualifications while maintaining the highest standards of assessment and quality assurance.

About the Role

Working remotely and supported by our Workforce Learning and Development Manager, you will:

• Assess learners undertaking Residential Childcare and Leadership qualifications.

• Carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities to ensure consistency and compliance.

• Support learners through their qualification journey using online platforms and e-portfolios.

• Monitor learner progress and provide high-quality feedback and coaching.

• Support continuous improvement and quality assurance activities across the organisation.

• Prepare for and contribute to External Quality Assurance visits and audits.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Assessor (CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).

• Qualified Internal Quality Assurer (IQA, V1, D34 or equivalent).

• Occupational experience within Residential Childcare.

• Experience assessing Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications.

• Experience undertaking Internal Quality Assurance activities.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, quality standards and qualification requirements.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Experience delivering assessment and learner support remotely.

Desirable

• Teaching or training qualification.

• Experience supporting apprenticeship programmes.

• Experience assessing education or teaching assistant qualifications

• Experience supporting External Quality Assurance visits.

• Coaching, mentoring or workshop delivery experience.

Ideally with experience in residential care and an awareness of child protection & safeguarding, however not essential as full training will be given. We provide a competitive salary and good training and performance bonuses.

You will be expected to provide high quality care for up to 4 young people. This will include supporting our young people physically and emotionally. The main function of this role is the responsibility to provide a safe, nurturing environment, ensuring the best possible care to our young people.

Salary is dependant on qualifications and experience, the competitive salary also includes additional pay for sleep ins - £62.74 per sleep and performance bonuses. No qualifications or previous experience required, you just need to be committed and have a passion for our young people enabling us to help enhance their quality of life and future. Our dedicated team will provide training to equip you with the necessary skills to deliver these beliefs.

We operate in the area of Shropshire, caring for children/young people with learning disabilities.

The purpose of the Team Leader role is briefly as follows:

• Provide high quality therapeutic support to young people as part of Unique Care Group's service, acting as a leader, role model and co-ordinator of shifts.

• Contribute actively to the creation and maintenance of a therapeutic, homely environment, taking into account the child/young person's wishes and preferences.

• Understand, contribute to and deliver the young person's Care Plan on a daily basis and ensure that all the basic physical needs of the children/young people are met, providing guidance to colleagues in this regard.

• Make and support others to make decisions that are in the best interests of the children/young people and the organisation at all times, providing direction and challenging poor practice.

• Be alert to signs of distress, neglect or abuse, ensuring that the children/young people are supported, monitored and protected.

• Know, understand and role model Unique Care Group's cultural and behavioural expectations

Competitive hourly rates of pay between £13.40 And £13.70 per hour and sleep in rates at £62.00 plus 2 hours pay
